Six events across the day
Cornwall and West Cornwall Beekeepers Association are pleased to welcome beekeepers from across the South West to our convention. This year, we have moved to the Camborne Learning Centre on the Pool campus of Cornwall College. Just off the A30, it’s easy to find and has plenty of parking. We have presentations for the intermediate beekeeper through to the leading edge of academic research, and a large exhibition space with traders and exhibitors from Beekeeping charities and other special interest groups associated with the craft.

A chance to catch up
It’s always a pleasure to meet up with friends and colleagues to discuss all things apiary. The programme includes plenty of time and opportunity to do so over a convivial refreshment. Time too to browse for those specific books or items of beekeeping equipment that you always meant to get hold of. Oh, and a chance to grab some raffle tickets for an array of beekeeping prizes.

Exhibitions and Trade Stands
There’s a large exhibition space located right by the main lecture area, where we are delighted to welcome a wide range of exhibitions and Trade stands.

Gadget Competition
To celebrate the ingenuity of beekeepers in the South West, we want to see how you have overcome the problems of beekeeping by devising a cunning solution to a beekeeping problem, and we have so many! Perhaps you have a clever way of storing your equipment, a well designed box or bag for carrying your bits and bobs, a device for monitoring varroa, a better hive tool, a gadget for removing stings, the most ingenious solar extractor or maybe your honey de-crystallising box. You get the idea?

If your gadget is not too big, then bring it along. If it is not transportable, then please bring along some photos. We would like to see any drawings you have made and perhaps some earlier prototypes. Of course you will need to write down what your gadget is for, and how it works, and if you have only brought photos, some approximate dimensions.

Please label your gadget with your name and register it with Mark Hoult in the foyer of the Trelawney Building.

There is no charge for entry, and you can bring along as many entries as you like.

Roger Patterson will be judging the entries and the winner will receive a prize (as well as the admiration of fellow beekeepers).

Good Luck!

And, being Cornwall, Pasties!
As is our tradition, pasties for lunchtime will be available to order in advance. New for this year is the ability to order a choice of pasties along with your ticket. Please note that pasty-included tickets will not be available after Sunday 29th September, so that we can arrange with our suppliers. Admission only tickets will remain available up to the day.
